DAY 1

The romantic city of Nafplio, which became the first capital of the Greek state in 1827 after the Greek revolution against the Ottomans. You will discover the medieval old town with the narrow cobblestone alleys & the neoclassical historic buildings. You will visit the Palamidi Castle (climbing its 999 steps) in Acronafplia & you will finally enjoy your dinner in a Greek traditional tavern by the sea while attending the marvelous Bourtzi, a small Venetian fortress located in the Agioi Theodoroi small rocky island. You will finally spend the night in one of the families-run hotels in the town.

Ancient Olympia

DAY 2

You will visit the unique archaeological area of Ancient Olympia where the first Olympic Games took place from the year 776 B.C. to 393 A.D. The Olympic Games were held every four years, in honor of the god Zeus. Amongst decades of monuments, you will admire the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the Philipeion, the Palestra, the Ancient Stadium, the Ancient Gymnasium, the Prytaneion, the Bouleuterion, and the Leonidaion. Your knowledge will be complemented with the visit to the archaeological Museum.
